A standard competition track is a 400 m oval with eight lanes at 1.22 m each. Many school and campus sites simply cannot take one.
That is not a reason to abandon the project. Compact 200 m and 300 m ovals, and straight sprint lanes, are genuinely useful for training and school athletics. We will lay out the best track your land actually allows rather than quoting for one that does not fit.
Track surfacing is thin — typically 13 mm. It follows the base underneath it exactly, so an out-of-tolerance base produces an out-of-tolerance track no matter which system goes on top.
