Roll-out PVC badminton matting built to BWF play standards — multi-layer vinyl over a cushioned foam backing, supplied and installed for academies, clubs and tournament halls across India.
Badminton is played on the smallest court of any major racket sport, and almost every point ends in a lunge, a jump or a sudden stop. That puts the floor under a very specific demand: it has to grip hard enough that a player can push off without sliding, yet give enough underfoot that the landing does not travel straight into the knees. A bare concrete or tiled hall floor does neither, which is why cement courts are where most badminton injuries start.
Roll-out PVC matting is the answer the sport settled on. It is built in layers — a textured vinyl wear surface for grip, a reinforcing core for dimensional stability, and a closed-cell foam backing that does the shock absorption. That build-up is what BWF-standard competition matting uses, and it is the same construction supplied for academy and club courts.
The strongest case for PVC matting is a hall that is not only a badminton hall. Because a loose-laid court rolls up, a school or society hall can host badminton on weekday evenings and be cleared for an assembly, a function or another sport at the weekend. A permanent academy court is usually bonded down instead, which gives a flatter, more stable surface for daily coaching loads.
The alternative for a permanent indoor hall is a sprung wooden floor. It plays superbly and lasts decades, but it costs considerably more, needs a dry hall and cannot be moved. Budget, permanence and whether the hall is shared usually decide between the two.

Still unsure? Call us and we will talk through your base condition, usage and budget before recommending a build-up.
Thickness is mostly a question of how hard the court is used. Thinner mats suit halls that are shared and rolled away regularly; thicker mats give more cushioning and stand up better to daily academy or tournament use. We will recommend a thickness once we know the hall, the sub-floor and the hours of play.
